Drydock demand has grown considerably and is set to grow. New facilities in China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand are competing with other established yards in Singapore, Middle – East, North Europe, Mediterranean. An overall rise in the average value of its repair contracts has been witnessed due its aggressive pricing strategy by yards and increase in Owners repairs work scopes.

Shipyard costs related to docking survey twice in five years play a vital role in daily operating cost of a vessel. Any deviation in estimates and actuals for cost and time schedule effects vessel’s commercial operations and earnings. All ship operators and shipyards are competent in their own fields and it will be wrong to question their existing system / policies. However, in the wake of regulatory changes, mounting pressures due to increasing costs, manpower shortage one must be flexible, to deviate from existing traditional methods / policies and Management should encourage prudent risk taking.

Having being brought up in shipping culture and in order to participate with shipowners / managers to share their burden for drydock process ‘Supreme Shipping Services’ embarked on a journey to create a common confidential platform in India to bring together shipoperators and shipyards so as to conduct business of drydock planning and execution in an efficient and satisfied manner. This platform became a reality only after our extensive research on relevant “Case Studies” and our on-site experience with worldwide shipyards in five continents.

We manage this platform with a business plan that recognizes the geographic spread, deliver consistent service and generate results to the satisfaction of all parties. So far many shipoperators have availed and are availing this service satisfactorily without pointing a finger.
